ByronFest Continues Today With Parade, Music And Family Events

BYRON — ByronFest continues today with a full day of activities after kicking off Friday evening. The annual festival runs through Sunday and features live music, family activities, food vendors, a carnival, and community events throughout downtown Byron, along with additional programming at the Jarrett Prairie Center and the Byron Museum of History. Organized by the Byron Chamber of Commerce, the festival promotes tourism, supports local nonprofit groups, and has raised more than $850,000 for area organizations over the past 37 years.

Executive Director of the Byron Chamber Michelle Lorenz said the festival is a chance for the community to come together each year.

“See your families, the businesses, volunteers, former residents coming back into town and see everyone enjoying the weekend of great fun, music, entertainment, and food,” Lorenz said.

Today’s schedule includes the ByronFest 5K, car show, pickleball tournament, parade, children’s activities, the carnival midway, food vendors, beer gardens, and live entertainment beginning at noon on two main stages. The festival wraps up Sunday with family activities, carnival rides, food vendors, and afternoon musical performances.
