Rochelle Wins District Baseball Title

ROCK FALLS. — Rochelle defeated Rock Falls 21-5 in five innings Friday to win the 8-10 year old district baseball tournament with a 3-0 record. Rochelle scored six runs in the fourth inning and 10 more in the fifth while collecting 14 hits. Lukas Blusiewicz doubled and drove in three runs, Easton Huff had a double, a single and an RBI, and Conrad Harper added two singles and an RBI. Jonah Scarbrough earned the win, allowing three runs on one hit over four innings while striking out nine. Rochelle advances to the Illinois State Tournament, which begins next Saturday in Roseland. Rochelle’s Junior League All-Star softball team also opens the Illinois State Tournament on Saturday in Beardstown against Huntley in a double elimination tournament.
