Rochelle Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Day

ROCHELLE — Rochelle residents can drop off electronics and household bulk trash today from 8 a.m. to noon at the Public Works/Street Department facility, 251 East 1st Avenue. Electronics are limited to six items per person. The event is free for Rochelle residents living inside city limits; please bring ID. Future events will include a bulk trash and electronics recycling day on November 7.

Items accepted: Cable receivers, cell phones, computer cables, desktops, laptops, tablets, digital converter boxes, DVD players and remotes, DVR consoles and remotes, electronic keyboards and recorders, electronic mice, fax machines, answering machines, CD players, CD-ROM drives, copy machines, digital clocks, floppy disks, tape and hard drives, microwaves, pagers, radios, shredders (no paper tub), telephones, network wires and extension cords, PDA devices, MP3/CD players, printers, satellite receivers, scanners, small-scale servers, televisions and remotes, video game consoles and controllers, VCR players, CDs, DVDs, zip drives, adding machines/calculators, cameras and camcorders, electric typewriters, joysticks, modems, routers, network switches, projectors, rechargeable batteries, stereo equipment (no wood speakers), UPS battery backups.

Items not accepted: Business waste.
