ROCHELLE — State Senator Li Arellano Jr., State Representative Bradley Fritts, and Rochelle Mayor John Bearrows will host a Legislative Session Recap Town Hall on Tuesday, July 14. The event will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Rochelle City Hall, 420 North Sixth Street. Residents will hear updates from Springfield and local government officials, discuss legislative issues affecting the 37th District and Rochelle area, and have an opportunity to ask questions.
Arellano said that he is looking forward to a productive session.
“ We had spring session that lasts until June, January through June. This legislative update will cover that whole time period and talk about what bills passed, what didn’t pass, and get feedback from the public.. So it’s gonna be a combined local and state level update on all things legislation and civics.” he said.
The event is free and open to the public.
