Wednesday was a special day for Tessa Janecke of Orangeville.
She was the third overall pick in the Women’s Professional Hockey League draft for Las Vegas.
Janecke had an outstanding amateur career. Earlier this year, she won a gold medal with the U.S.
women’s Olympic hockey team.
She also played for Penn State who reached the NCAA’s “Frozen Four”.
The dates for the season involving the Women’s Professional Hockey League have not been announced at this time.
