DEKALB — A glider plane made an emergency landing in a farm field Tuesday afternoon after losing altitude in rural DeKalb County. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred around 3 p.m. east of Illinois Route 23 and south of McGirr Road. The white glider was being operated by a 75-year-old La Salle man when the aircraft lost altitude and landed in a field southeast of the intersection. No injuries were reported.
