It took 13 innings Thursday night as th Boston Red Sox completed a 3-game sweep over the Chicago White Sox by the final score of 12-11.
Caleb Durbin’s single brought in the winning run for Boston who has won 8 straight games and 26 out of their last 29.
The Red Sox had 16 hits in the game which included a 2-run home run from Connor Wong.
The White Sox got 2 2-run home runs from Chase Meidroth. His second home run in the 10th inning put Chicago up 9-7.
Erick Fedde took the loss in relief.
The White Sox open up a 3-game series at Rate Field on Friday night against Cleveland. They lead the Guardians by 3 games in the AL Central Division.
