POLO — The Rock River Valley Blood Center will host a community blood drive Monday, June 8, at Crossroads Community Church, 205 North Jefferson Avenue in Polo, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Officials said the center serves 14 area hospitals and depends on steady donor support to meet patient needs. Donors are asked to bring a photo ID. Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center said summer donation levels often decline even as hospital demand continues.
Anderson said, “Community donors are the reason we are able to meet hospital needs every day. Summer makes that more difficult, so every donor matters.” For more details visit RRVBC.org.
