Rochelle Elementary District Announces Personnel Changes

ROCHELLE  — Rochelle Elementary District 231 approved several personnel changes Tuesday, including new teachers, support staff and extracurricular employees for the 2026 27 school year. Certified staff resignations include fifth grade teacher Brooke Hurt at Tilton, SLA and dual language staff member Kimberly Lumzy at Rochelle Middle School, and Art, Music and Physical Education teacher Peyton Lumzy at Lincoln Elementary School. The district hired Wanda Bultron Davila for SLA and dual language at Rochelle Middle School, Kevin Diemer for Art, Music and Physical Education at Lincoln, Timothy Ganczewski as an eighth grade special education long term substitute at Rochelle Middle School and Madison Nathe as a fifth grade teacher at Tilton. Adaleiah Villalobos was transferred from a paraprofessional position at Tilton to Rochelle Middle School. Support staff resignations include Krystal Baez, Bre Biaocco, Travis Jensen and Leslie Zepeda, while Susan King will begin family medical leave in November. The district also hired 11 paraprofessionals and a new substitute coordinator. In extracurricular positions, Rey Arteaga resigned as eighth grade volleyball coach and Peyton Lumzy resigned as eighth grade boys track coach. New extracurricular hires include Diemer as boys assistant basketball and eighth grade boys track coach, Mike Green as assistant volleyball coach and eighth grade lunch detention supervisor, Sadie Hartmann as seventh grade boys track coach, Marlen Hueramo as art supervisor and Holli Rapp as eighth grade volleyball coach.
