SYCAMORE. — Registration is open for Nonprofit Day, which will be held Sept. 23 at Faranda’s Banquet Center in DeKalb. The annual conference, hosted by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, will bring together nonprofit leaders, staff, volunteers and board members from across DeKalb County for professional development, networking and practical training. Sessions will cover communications, management, grant writing and other topics. Paula Jenkins, founder and CEO of LFS Consulting, will deliver the keynote presentation on effective team communication. Attendance is limited to 125 people, and registration is due by Sept. 16. DCNP members can attend for free, while nonmembers can register for $30. The DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership is a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation and provides training throughout the year to support local nonprofit organizations.
