DEKALB — The DeKalb Knights of Columbus Council 717 will host its 43rd Annual DeKalb County First Responder Appreciation Pig Roast tonight at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1336 East Lincoln Highway. Dinner will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with live music by the Wildwood Country Band from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Police officers and firefighters from across the county will receive a complimentary pulled pork dinner in recognition of their service, and the public is also invited to attend. Pulled pork dinners with smoked macaroni and cheese and baked beans will be available for dine in or carry out for $20. Proceeds and donations will help support the event and provide meals for first responders.
