June Fishing Clinic Set for Starved Rock State Park

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is announcing a family fishing clinic on June 13 at Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby in LaSalle County as part of its June 2026 events schedule. The program, titled Casting Memories Family Fishing Clinic, will teach river fishing tactics, identify Illinois River fish species, and cover ethical angling practices. Bait, tackle, and instruction will be provided at no cost. Participants must register through the park event registration site.
