Illinois Home Sales Edge Higher as Rockford Sales Fall

ROCKFORD – Illinois home sales rose 0.8% in July from a year earlier, while the Rockford area saw a sharp decline. The Rockford MSA recorded 218 closed sales, down 40.3% from July 2025 and 13.1% from June. The median sales price rose 11% year over year to $252,500. Statewide, the median price increased 6% to $338,000, according to data from IllinoisRealtors.org.
