Day of Caring Volunteer Events Set for Lee and Ogle Counties

OREGON – United Way of Lee County and United Way of Ogle County will host Day of Caring volunteer events in September, bringing businesses, community members and local organizations together for service projects. The Ogle County event will be held Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to noon, followed by the Lee County event Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteer teams of two to eight people can help with projects such as painting, landscaping, cleaning, organizing, yard work and other tasks. United Way is seeking both volunteer teams and nonprofits or community organizations with projects that can be completed in three hours or less.
