CHICAGO – The Illinois Gaming Board has approved a proposed rule allowing people with gambling problems to voluntarily exclude themselves from the state’s nearly 50,000 video gaming terminals. The proposal would add video gaming to the state’s existing self exclusion program for casinos, sports betting and fantasy contests. It also would establish rules for cashless wagering accounts, identity verification and limits to help players control their gambling. The proposal must be reviewed by the General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Administrative Rules before taking effect. The board also approved proposed changes to rules for casino employees in non gaming positions and accepted a renewal request for Hollywood Casino Aurora’s operating license.
