Rochelle Announces Lane Closures on 1st Avenue Through November 27

ROCHELLE — Motorists on 1st Avenue between 2nd and 9th streets in Rochelle will encounter intermittent lane closures through Nov. 27 for pavement improvements. Martin and Company, the city’s contractor, will remove pavement and install new inlets, manholes, sidewalks and curbs before restoring the affected pavement. Drivers should expect delays, use alternate routes when possible and follow posted signs, barricades and detours. The overall 1st Avenue improvement project is expected to be substantially completed by late June 2027, depending on weather conditions.
