Pet of the week: If you’re looking for a mature gentleman, pick me, Russell! At 9 years old, I may be a senior, but I still have plenty of life, love, and good smells to explore! I’m a handsome guy weighing around 60 pounds, with a wonderfully soft coat and a nose that enjoys investigating all the interesting scents in the big outdoors. I’m a pretty easygoing fellow. I’m potty trained, know tricks like sit and paw, and I’m a good walking buddy overall.
I’ve also been calm around other animals while out and didn’t react to them. I’m not a fearful guy, and I don’t need to be glued to your side. I’m perfectly happy doing my own thing, relaxing on a comfy chair or bed, and enjoying some peaceful time with my people. And yes, I’m definitely willing to accept treats as part of our friendship. I’ve lived with cats and another dog before, and I’ve spent my life as an indoor dog. I’m looking for a home without young children, as little ones can make me uncomfortable. A calm, adult home where I can settle in and enjoy my golden years would be wonderful.
