DEKALB — A DeKalb man was injured early Thursday morning after his golf cart was struck from behind on Illinois 38 west of Hahn Drive, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the crash happened at 4:46 a.m. when a vehicle driven by 56-year-old DeKalb man was traveling eastbound and rear ended a golf cart driven by 28-year-old DeKalb man. The impact sent the golf cart into a ditch along the side of the road. The operator of the golf cart was taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital for treatment. The 56-year-old was cited for improper speed under the Illinois Vehicle Code.
