DeKalb County History Center Sets Summer Fundraiser in Sycamore

SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County History Center will host its fifth annual Cocktails at the Crib fundraiser on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at 1730 N. Main St. in Sycamore, featuring live music, food, drinks, and activities to support local history programs. The event, presented by Resource Bank, will include cocktails, appetizers, lawn games, a silent auction, raffles, and live entertainment by Mathey and Friends. Guests will also have access to the center’s America 250 exhibit, We the People of DeKalb County, which highlights local history and community stories. History Center Executive Director Michelle Donahoe said the event showcases the campus and offers unique experiences for visitors. Tickets are $50 in advance and include a drink ticket, souvenir cup, admission to the exhibit, and event activities, while tickets at the door are $60 if available. Additional drink tickets and raffle entries will be offered, along with a signature Bourbon and Blues cocktail created by Whiskey Acres. Proceeds support exhibits, educational programs, preservation efforts, and community events. The event is for adults age 21 and older.
