Cubs Win While White Sox and Cardinals Fall

The Cubs opened a three game series in Baltimore with a 5 to 2 victory over the Orioles on Tuesday as Matthew Boyd allowed just three hits over six scoreless innings and Alex Bregman drove in two runs. The win was Chicago’s seventh in its last nine games, and the series continues tonight. The White Sox dropped the opener of their three game series against the Red Sox 8 to 1 at home as Noah Schultz gave up four runs on seven hits over five innings, ending the team’s two game winning streak. The Cardinals were swept in a doubleheader by the Brewers, losing 4 to 3 in the first game before falling 10 to 2 in the second. St. Louis returns to action tonight.
