OREGON – United Way of Ogle County is seeking volunteers and local organizations to take part in its annual Day of Caring on Sept. 18. The half day event will run from 9 a.m. to noon, with volunteers working on projects at locations throughout Ogle County. Projects may include landscaping, organizing, cleaning and other work for local nonprofits, schools and residents who need assistance.
United Way Board Member Samantha Ciaccio said, “We love giving back, and we love making sure that everybody in our community’s taken care of, so you know, that’s why we’re, that’s why we have our Day of Caring, and that’s why we’re looking for those volunteers to come and help.” She added, “They do get a T-shirt, also for, coming and, that says United Way Day of Caring on it too.”

Volunteer teams can sign up through the United Way of Ogle County, and local nonprofits, schools and organizations can also submit projects for volunteers to complete.
