ROCKFORD – The annual start of the Christmas season returns to Rockford on Saturday, November 29, for the 13th annual Stroll on State. The day begins with the Dasher Dash 5K at noon, followed by a parade at 2 p.m. featuring large balloons, festive floats, and the arrival of Santa Claus.
“Our marketplace will be very full to be able to wander around, too, and pick up some sweet treats that everyone loves around the holiday season,” said Julie Huber, Stroll on State operations manager.
The event includes a drone show, along with food trucks, a holiday marketplace, and a new make-your-own s’mores experience. Shuttle buses will run from Bethesda Church, the YMCA, and Crusader Health to make parking easier. Stroll on State is free to attend, and details are available at gorockford.com.
