Shabbona Lake State Park in DeKalb County included in IDNR agricultural lease bids

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will accept sealed bids this fall for about 40 agricultural lease contracts covering crop years 2027 through 2031. Shabbona Lake State Park in DeKalb County is among the sites included, with a vendor conference scheduled for Oct. 20. The leases are designed to support wildlife and recreation while promoting soil health, reducing erosion, improving water quality and limiting chemical impacts. Prospective bidders must register with the state’s BidBuy system before submitting bids, and additional information about the leases and bidding process will be available through IDNR.
