Severe Weather Possible Today as Cleanup Continues

DEKALB — Cleanup is underway after a powerful wind storm moved through the Chicago area Tuesday. The National Weather Service confirmed at least three tornadoes touched down, including one in southern Cook County and two in Will County. A derecho also moved through parts of the region, producing hurricane force wind gusts and widespread damage, including downed trees and power lines. Severe weather is possible across northern Illinois today, with strong storms, heavy rain and flooding among the main concerns. Additional storms could continue into Thursday.
