Rochelle Pocket Park Mural to Be Unveiled Wednesday

ROCHELLE — The City of Rochelle will hold a ribbon cutting and mural unveiling Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new Pocket Park, 517 W. Fourth Ave. The mural, created by Rochelle artist Mat Steder, owner of Steder Tattoo, features agriculture themed artwork that reflects the area’s farming heritage and symbolizes one generation passing its legacy to the next. The park was created after the demolition of a condemned building. Photos are scheduled for about 11:45 a.m., and Roiel Scoop ice cream will be available for purchase during the event.
