OREGON — Rancho La Esperanza near Rochelle has voluntarily relinquished Special Use Permit No. 4-12, ending its authorization to hold rodeos and related amusement activities on its property in Ogle County. In a July 8th letter, owner Jose Gaucin of FAJO Properties LLC said the business has permanently discontinued all rodeo operations and requested that the county update its records. Ogle County Board Chairman Bruce Larson confirmed the county accepted the request, making the permit null and void immediately. The County Board Tuesday night accepted the rescinding of the 2012 ordinance that approved the special use permit unanimously.
