ROCHELLE – Project SEARCH will hold two Information Nights to introduce students with disabilities and their families, educators, and community members to its workforce preparation program. The first event is Jan. 14 at 6 p.m. at the Northwestern Medicine Health & Wellness Center in DeKalb, and the second is Jan. 22 at 5 p.m. at the Rochelle Public Library. Attendees will learn about internship opportunities, the application process, and program details while hearing from interns, families, and partners. Project SEARCH provides students ages 18 to 21 with three internships supported by on-site specialists and classroom instruction on employability and independent living skills. Students must have an individualized education plan, be referred by a participating school district, and be ready to graduate upon program completion.
