Oregon — The Rock River Valley Blood Center is holding a community blood drive today at the Nash Recreation Center, Oregon Park District, 304 South Fifth Street in Oregon, from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Officials said the center serves 14 area hospitals and depends on steady donor turnout. Donors are asked to bring a photo ID. Maggie Anderson said summer donation levels often fall even as medical needs remain steady.
