One Dead After DeKalb County Crash

DEKALB — A traffic crash at the intersection of Route 64 and East County Line Road on Monday morning resulted in one death and one injury, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to authorities, a vehicle traveling south on East County Line failed to yield at the stop sign and collided with a westbound vehicle on Route 64. The driver of the southbound vehicle was pronounced dead at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital. The driver of the westbound vehicle was treated at the same hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. No citations or arrests have been reported at this time.
