Ogle County Board Approves Continued Support for State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor

OREGON – The Ogle County Board voted unanimously last Tuesday night to support the continued operation of the Office of the State’s Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor and designated the office to administer appellate cases for the county. The board authorized attorneys employed by the office to act as Assistant State’s Attorneys on appeal cases, assist in prosecutions under state drug and tax laws, provide trial support, and offer continuing legal education programs. The county will provide clerical and administrative support, victim-witness coordination, and cover necessary case expenses if the office is appointed as a Special Prosecutor. The board also approved $25,000 in funding for the program  through November of 2026.
