Motorcycle accident West Oregon Trail Road

Ogle County Deputies responded to the 2600 block of West Oregon Trail Road for reports of a motorcycle accident Sunday evening.  After investigation, it was determined the driver and sole occupant of a white 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle, 49 year old Eric Bryer of Sycamore, was traveling westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the motorcycle to enter the north ditch and strike a guard wire on a telephone pole. Bryer was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Bryer was charged with Aggravated Driving While License Revoked and Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was additionally cited for Driving While License Revoked, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Improper Container, Failure to Reduce Speed, Suspended Registration, Improper Lane Usage and Expired Registration. Bryer was released on a notice to appear with a future court date. Deputies were assisted on scene by the Mount Morris Fire Department, Oregon Police Department, and Mount Morris Police Department.
