DIXON — The Lee County Farm Bureau will host a Nutrient Stewardship Field Day on June 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Niles Township, featuring the grand opening of a new pollinator retention basin. Organizers said the project was supported by the Lee County Farm Bureau, Niles Township and the Illinois Farm Bureau Adopt a Legislator program and will serve as a space for conservation education and community gatherings. The event is part of a statewide series focused on soil health, conservation and best practices in agriculture. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by June 19 by calling 815-857-3531.
