July Recognized as Eye Injury Prevention Month

CHICAGO — July is recognized as Eye Injury Prevention Month to raise awareness about the frequency of eye injuries and promote education on eye safety and prevention. The observance is organized by Federal Occupational Health. The educational campaign emphasizes that up to 90% of accidental eye injuries can be easily prevented by wearing certified protective eyewear during sports, home DIY projects, and yard work.
