ROCHELLE — Extreme heat is hitting northern Illinois. The National Weather Service says temps will be in the 90s, with heat index values in the triple digits. An extreme warning is in effect until 9 p.m. tonight. Dangerously hot and humid conditions may cause heat illnesses.
