SPRINGFIELD — An emergency response exercise is taking place today at the Byron Nuclear Generating Station, coordinated by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security. Personnel from Ogle County, Winnebago County, and Constellation are participating, with the Federal Emergency Management Agency evaluating the drill. Preliminary results will be presented Friday at 11 a.m. at the Ogle County Emergency Operation Center in Rochelle.
