SYCAMORE — A bald eagle that was brought to Oaken Acres on Saturday after being found with a stick lodged in its back near Starved Rock by a Conservation Police officer died overnight. Wildlife staff said two veterinarians advised against removing the stick because of possible internal damage. The eagle had been given antibiotics and pain medication in hopes it would survive transport to DuPage Conservation Wildlife for further care.
