DeKalb Woman Cited for DUI After Two-Vehicle Crash

MALTA  — A two-vehicle crash at Twombly and Malta Roads Friday evening sent one driver to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says they were called around 5:20 PM to the collision between an SUV and a Van. The SUV, driven by 30-year-old Alanna Huskey of DeKalb, reportedly left the roadway for unknown reasons, and according to Deputies, veered back onto the road into the path of a van driven by a driver from Aurora. The occupants of the van were treated on scene by Malta EMS and released. Husky was taken to the hospital where she was also cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. She was released with a notice to appear.
