DeKalb Approves New Auditing Services Contract with Sikich CPA

DEKALB – DeKalb city officials approved a contract with Sikich CPA LLC last week for auditing services covering fiscal years 2025 through 2029. Sikich was selected from two proposals for its competitive pricing, familiarity with the city’s operations, and history of providing high-quality services, training, and guidance to city staff. The contract fees are $56,800 for FY2025, increasing annually to $63,920 for FY2029. The alternative proposal from Mauldin & Jenkins LLC was significantly higher and would have required more city staff time due to the firm’s distance from DeKalb. The new agreement continues the city’s ongoing relationship with Sikich, which previously served the city from FY2016 through FY2024.
