Davis Junction Considers Tax, Sirens, and Sidewalk Safety Program

DAVIS JUNCTION – Village trustees discussed a possible property tax increase raising taxes on a $100,000 home from $87.20 to $117.73 and scheduled a Truth in Taxation hearing for December. Officials are evaluating taking ownership of a warning siren near the fire station as Constellation Energy phases out maintenance, and Public Works introduced a potential $12,000 Safe Step LLC sidewalk repair program to identify hazards and provide repair plans. Residents were reminded that fire hydrants will be flushed next week.
