City of Oregon to Study East Side Drainage Improvements

OREGON – Oregon city officials have approved a $40,000 professional services contract to study drainage issues on the east side of the city, including North Jones Terrace, North Hastings Avenue, North Etnyre Avenue, North Nohe Avenue, North Daysville Road, and East Center Street. The project will evaluate existing drainage patterns, identify areas prone to flooding, and develop conceptual plans for storm sewer extensions and roadside ditch grading to improve water collection and reduce flooding. The study will include watershed mapping, limited topographic surveys, and preparation of a technical memorandum with cost estimates for potential improvements. Work is scheduled to begin after the agreement is signed, with initial analysis expected within four months and final delivery of the report extending into 2026.
