August Observed as Medic Alert Awareness Month

SALIDA, Calif. — August is recognized as Medic Alert Awareness Month to raise awareness about the benefits of medical identification tags. The observance is organized by the MedicAlert Foundation. These lifesaving IDs help first responders instantly access critical health information, such as allergies or chronic conditions, during emergency situations when a patient may be unable to speak.
