KINGSTON – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reported a house fire in the 7200 block of Route 72 in Kingston on Tuesday morning. Deputies said the occupants called around 11:20 a.m. after seeing heavy smoke inside the home coming from an attached garage. Two occupants had already evacuated and no injuries were reported. Fire crews from Genoa Kingston, Sycamore, Marengo, and Kirkland responded and extinguished the fire. Investigators determined the fire was accidental and not suspicious in nature.
