Chicago Set To Approve Largest Settlement For Police Misconduct 

CHICAGO —  The city of Chicago is one step closer to approving the biggest settlement for police misconduct in the city’s history.  The City Council’s finance committee voted to approve a proposed $261 million payout to resolve 16 police misconduct lawsuits against disgraced former Chicago police detective Reynaldo Guevara.  The payout resolves allegations of misconduct from the 1980s and 1990s.
