DIXON – The annual Dixon Scarecrow Festival will be held Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jennifer Lang of Discover Dixon said the festival offers activities for visitors of all ages.
“Downtown Dixon right there on our main street. We have over a hundred and twenty vendors who will be lining the streets, as well as some of our businesses providing some deals and treats and tricks,” Lang said. “We also have our pumpkin derby that will be going on at one PM. You can register right there at the corner of Hennepin and First Street at Noon.”
Participants can build and decorate pumpkin racers and compete in youth, kids, teen, adult and business or organization categories. Scarecrows will be displayed throughout downtown beginning Oct. 13 and continuing through the festival.
