Rochelle Candidate Petitions Available Tuesday for 2027 Election

ROCHELLE — Candidate petitions for the 2027 city election will be available beginning July 28 at the Rochelle City Clerk’s Office in City Hall. Voters will elect one four year term for mayor and three four year terms for city council. A primary election on Feb. 23, 2027, will be held only if at least five candidates file for mayor or 13 candidates file for the three council seats. Candidate petitions will be accepted at the clerk’s office from Oct. 19 through Oct. 23 during regular business hours and until 5 p.m. on Oct. 26, the final day for filing.
