ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Police Department and Rochelle Fire Department will meet in the Battle of the Badges charity softball game on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Junior League Field, 101 Eighth Ave. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. The annual Police vs. Fire game will raise money for the Shining Star Children’s Advocacy Center. Community members are invited to attend and support local police officers and firefighters while helping a local nonprofit.
