ROCHELLE – A wind advisory remains in effect until noon Monday as west winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 55 miles per hour blow across northern Illinois. A winter weather advisory continues until 3 PM with one to two inches of snow, blowing snow, slick roads, and reduced visibility impacting the morning commute. Snow is expected to taper off by midmorning with highs near 17 degrees, strong winds continuing, and wind chills falling below zero before calmer and slightly warmer conditions arrive Tuesday.
