ROCHELLE — Prescott Brothers Ford, 102.3 The Coyote, and SuperHits 93.5 is hosting its annual Two Ton Food Drive today from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to benefit the Rochelle Christian Food Pantry. The dealership is accepting canned goods, nonperishable food, and monetary donations, which can stretch further through the food bank’s purchasing power. Organizers hope to raise more than $18,000 to help restock shelves for the holiday season and support families in Ogle County. Chad Young with Prescott Brothers Ford in Rochelle notes that for every dollar donated, the food pantry can stretch that into $7 of food purchased.
“Every monetary donation that we can get is going to go a long way. We got a huge lofty goal this year and we’re excited,” he said. “We’re ramped up. We’re ready to have a great day. That’s for sure.”
