Toronto Scores 3 Goals In The Third Period And Beat The Blackhawks

(Toronto, ON) — The Maple Leafs scored three third period goals to secure a 3-2 home win over the Blackhawks. Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Auston Matthews and Dakota Joshua each lit the lamp in the Toronto victory. Joseph Woll stopped 23 of the 25 shots he faced between the pipes. The Maple Leafs snapped a two-game skid to improve to 15-12-and-5 on the season.
Wyatt Kaiser and Jason Dickinson scored in the first period to give Chicago a 2-0 advantage that it would eventually squander. Spencer Knight allowed three goals on 26 shots in net. The Blackhawks have lost three in a row to fall to 13-14-and-6 this year.
Chicago returns to the ice on Thursday at Montreal.
