OREGON — The Rock River Valley Blood Center is hosting a blood drive today from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Oregon United Methodist Church, 200 S. 4th St., Oregon, IL 61061. Donors are needed to help sustain the blood supply for 14 area hospitals that depend on regular donations. Maggie Anderson, Donor Recruiter with the Rock River Valley Blood Center, said they work with 14 area hospitals.
“More than 800 units of blood are needed each week to ensure patients have access to lifesaving transfusions when emergencies occur,” she said.
Donors should bring a photo ID; appointments are recommended but not required.
